This Ain't No Disco

So it seems that Rich's is open again!!!

Through the years this club has gone through many transformations...now it seems that it has risen from the ashes yet again.

Back in '89 I used to have the best time at this club!!!

My friends and I would head there on Thursday Nights when it was 18 and up. They would play Top 40 with a bit of 80's nostalgia...early Erasure, A-Ha, Duran Duran etc. It was very cool. Then they started mixing it up a bit by throwing in some disco. The Disco thing was ok at first but then they turned every Thursday into a Trash Disco Night...after a week or two of Trash Disco, I was trashed out. So I stopped going.

My best friend and I decided to start going on Saturday Nights. However, this proved to be more of a challenge...Saturdays were only 21 and older...NO MINORS ALLOWED!!!

So we headed off to the local Fake ID store and payed a pretty penny to become 21...it was SO worth it!!!

From that moment on, I was able to hang with the big boys. They were HOTTT!!! They were all dancing around without any shirts on...GAWH!!! It was like I had stepped into another universe...a totally HOTTT GAY universe.

There used to be some really HOTTT football twins that would frequent the club...it would have been great to date them.

I've been back periodically through the years and I've always had a good time. When I heard it closed about a year or so ago, I was a bit sad. I had some really good memories of that place.

I guess I'll have to check out the new and improved version and see what it's like...I wont hold my breath.
