Guatemala Airport

...And I feel Like I just Got Home...

Alright all you homos and non-homos out there...over the last couple of weeks I have made two trips to Guatemala. Amanda-Jayne, Nick and I have a friend that lives there and he needed to take care of some business here in the states. So I flew down to get him and bring him back to the U.S. He stayed for four days and then he and I flew back there so he could get home.

These pics are from the second trip that I made there...this is a picture tour of a couple of days in Guatemala.

First of all, let me apologize for the bright yellow and incorrect date on some of the pictures...being the Gizmo Genius that I am...I had no idea of how to change this or delete it. Apparently, the camera has a mind of it's own...because towards the end of the pics, the date is correct. So, just know that these pics were taken on 9/13/05 and 9/14/05...if that really even matters.

And now...let us begin.

This is pulling out of the airport in Guatemala City...notice the pretty billboard girl...ahhh!!!

This is a hovel in Guatemala City...on the way to Matthew's house.

This is a typical Guatemala City street...very few stop lights.

This pic is actually out closer to Matthew's house and out of Guatemala City. It was raining a bit...not much. There's usually afternoon showers...which don't last very long.

This one...is us on our way to Antigua...AHHH!!!

Making a pitt-stop in Amatitlan. We needed Orange Juice and Vodka.

Typical street in Amatitlan...small and crowded.

Bikers all over the place.

Arriving in Antigua.

We begin our tour of the city. That's Matthew's backside.

Streets in Antigua are much prettier and cleaner...and they have great fountains.

One of the Old Missions

Antigua is made up of all kinds of tourist shops.

This was taken from the patio of one of the many internet cafes.

Notice the mountains and all the vibrant colors of the buildings.

Powerlines, Roofs, and Mountains.

That's an inactive volcano...which once destroyed the city of Antigua. It no longer poses a threat.

Skyline.

Skyline, buildings old and new.

Lots of church steeples.

Volcano Guava.

Notice the woman in pink with the basket on top of her head...cool.

Really cool balcony.

Inside Fridas.

A toast.

Toast II

Gallo...Guatemalan beer...yes that's a picture of a COCK!!!

Feeling good enjoying the Gallo.

Inside the men's restroom...cool door and tile.

Outside Fridas...this woman wouldn't leave us alone...wanting us to buy her stuff.

She actually thought she could charge us for getting in these pics. WTF???

Standing in Matthew's doorway.

Outside Matthew's house...in the distance, you can see an Active volcano called Fuego.

...with a careless memory
