Nothing Better Than...

The Fam and I headed up to Livingstone for Thanksgiving yesterday. We feasted on a fried turkey and ham along with all of the sides...stuffing, mashed potatoes, maccaroni & cheese, casseroles...and then on to desserts.

This year was the first year I got text messages from multiple friends wishing me a Happy Turkey day...that was nice!!! I made some calls to some family members and talked on the phone for a bit.

All in all it was great food, great weather and very relaxing.

Today, we are enjoying a lazy Fall day with a lot of nothing. Nice!!!

In A World Full Of Suprising Fireworks

This morning I had an adult conversation with Mr. Destroyer.

He told me what he wanted for his birthday. Here is that list:
a superman suit
a power rangers suit
a green power ranger...with a motorcycle
a toolbox with a birdhouse to fix
a doodle pad
a hamster and a guinea pig
a paintball gun...but just a small one about the size of his pinky finger
a bicycle
and a black motorcycle

A Matter Of Feeling

My back is feeling much better...I still have a tender spot at the small of my back...and cannot stand still in one spot for too long. I am going in for a complete physical on the 20th and if my back is still sore...I'm going to see what the doctor suggests that might make it get better. I'm hoping with time it will heal...but we'll have to see.

I wanna go boogie...but I can't...ARRRGH!!! I've already missed two BFF-get-togethers!!!

I Plug You In

I'm feeling a bit better now...

Last Saturday I pulled my back out...it felt like the lower portion of my body became separated from the top half. YIKES!!!

Fortunately I had a heating pad wherever I went...which consisted of either the bed or the recliner...and that was it. I went to the doctor a few days later where they gave me an anti-inflammatory shot and a prescription for a low dosage muscle relaxer.

I'm able to walk around much better now...but still tire out easily. Damn, I'm getting old!!!

Now That I'm Starting To Remember

Jao is gone. He took the family up to Chicago. They arrived by plane on the 1st. I received an email from him and his little boy on the day after their arrival and he said they were enjoying the 35 degree temperatures and even saw what they thought were snow flurries. How cool is that???

I'm sad and miss him...even though I hardly saw him when he was here in Houston. At least I knew he was somewhere in this Metropolis.

So, I'm listening to a very special Hillsong song and thinking of my good buddy Jao...we had some good times together...when we were young. We share a lot of history together.

We're both older now and are lives are different but we have a special bond and I hope we always remain close. It's a good thing that I have buddy passes...now Where's My Invitation Biotch???!!!
