The neighbor's dog is seriously annoying me!!! She is kept outside and is given little or no attention.

Now, when I take our baby outside to do his business or just hang out, this stinky bitch feels the need to start digging...quickly and furiously...to try and get into our yard...so that she might run amuck with Diego and get him all dirty and nasty. Word on the street is...she's a bit loose, and likes to give it up to any stray. Well...no son of mine is going to be entangled in the trappings of some two-bit street hustler...heaven knows, I don't need a full-on litter to raise...my plate is full enough as it is.

So...I have taken it upon myself to strategically place bricks under the fence in the holes that this harlot has dug up. That should HOPEFULLY put a damper on her lusty loins.

Thinking Of You Will Make Me Smile

Looks like my good buddy JAO is packing up the family of 5 and moving to the "Windy City". He just accepted a Management position with his company which will require him to uproot himself, his wife and their three boys and then plant new roots in Chicago!!!

He has been waiting a long time for this promotion and the opportunity to move up north. It seems both happened at the same time...LUCKY DOG!!!

I will miss him and his family...we've known each other now for such a along time...we've shared a lot of memories.

Chicago will now become a new destination for me to visit...that will be nice, and I'll always have a place to stay while visiting.

Try To Resist

Amanda-Jayne and some of our friends have been having a BFF-Weekly-Dinner-Get-Together over the summer months that usually have involved a pot luck, alcohol and a swimming pool. Nich and I have not been able to be a part of these outings...since we both work on Mondays. The BFF group has become so close that they are going to get matching tattoos...something like the cast of "Lord Of The Rings" did back in 2000. Hmmm...okay...so I TOTALLY am not feeling the love here.

I devised a plan though to get both Nich and myself involved...the plan will is broken down into two phases. Phase I has already been implemented...with Phase II to follow shortly.

Phase I of the plan was set into motion when I started grumbling and complaining a bit that Nich and I weren't involved and we were missing out on the "good times" and history in the making. So with a bit of re-thinking...and the need to stop hearing me whine, the group decided to move BFF Night to Tuesdays. YAY!!!

So now I am going to start working on Phase II of my plan. Let me explain...since we are approaching autumn and the days will become less hot and less mosquito-ee, I've decided to liven up the get-togethers with some games...I'm thinking Badmitton, Croquet, Horseshoes, Card Games, Board Games...Win Lose Or Draw is always a hit at parties....OOOH...maybe even An-Old-Fashioned-Piano-Party!!!

I remember my mom always saying that her parents threw the best parties because there was always something going on...never a dull moment. So I will simply suggest that instead of sitting around chatting and gossiping, we should have some friendly Male Vs. Female competitions...that will get them going.

Not only will Phase II implement some casual fun and excitement, but I will finally be able to impress with my entertaining skills and recipes that I have been tucking away specifically for occasions such as these...than you to my summer mentor Ina Garten.

These get-togethers will be the talk of the town...everyone will want to come...only few will be chosen. Welcome to the new and improved BFF night...a la Jake!!!
