Give Me The Green Light And Watch Me Move It

I finally have a minute to sit down with big Mac and write down my random thoughts for the day. It's becoming harder and harder to do this..."WHY"???...you say. Well...

Not only are there five people in this house that have to get on big Mac for various reasons such as, but not limited to; checking email, balancing checking accounts, typing in notes, researching various topics, or learning how to compose digital, organic music with the help of "Garage Band". (BTW...Thanks for that H.G., Nick is having tons of fun)!!!

Also, Also...there is heaps and heaps of reading and homework that have to be finished and comprehended on a daily basis!!! My personal time has gone from reading magazines, searching for online single guys, watching Desperate Housewives to studying Native American Indians, Government, Algebraic Formulas and Shakespeare!!! Yes SHAKESPEARE!!!

I have my first MINI-EXAM this week...can someone please explain to me "MINI-EXAM"...where did this term come from??? Could we not just call this an exam???!!!

Fortunately, the book we're being tested on is an easy read and I started reading it way before I should have so I don't have that sense of being behind everyone else and not being able to catch up!!! Bad thing is though, I can't be like the Hare and think that the Tortoise wont pass me up and beat me to the finish line.

Something else due this week is Shakespeare's "Love's Labor's Lost", interpreted and comprehended for understanding then over the next couple of weeks re-created in a five-minute scene with two other actors from my class and then presented for everyone else to see and critique!!! In the end, this will be fun and exciting...but getting to that point will take DILIGENCE...DILIGENCE I tell you!!!

I can actually feel the jelly in my brain being stimulated and expanding and growing big and beautiful...like the Blob!!!

Take Me Every Morning Take Me Every Night

This last week has been busy busy busy!!!

I worked really late last Monday night and was able to get about 5 hours of sleep before waking up on Tuesday morning to get the children and myself up and out the door for school. Then managed to stay awake on Tuesday till 23:00 before retiring for the night to wake up for another early morning on Wednesday and go all day long again.

And so, it was like that all week. From the looks of it, it will be like this for the next 16 weeks until Summer Vacation!!!

I can tell you right now that coffee and hot tea will become my two best friends...they shall help keep my eyelids in an upright and propped-open position.

This freshman's class schedule includes:
Algebra
History
Government
Acting II

Here Comes The News...With Love From Me To You

It's been almost ten years since I was in college. TEN YEARS...A DECADE!!! WOW!!! Where has the time gone???...and better yet, just what have I done with my life over those ten years???

Oh yes...ten years has allowed me the benefit of producing two beautiful children, adopting another son and cultivating two best friends relationships and securing our own unique functional family. I've managed to survive the brainwashing of certain individuals and their cult and realize just who I am. I've learned to live life and not take myself to seriously. I've learned to appreciate ALL of my childhood memories...the good and the bad...and learned to continue to go on with life after the passing of my mother and my mother in law (both in one years' time).

So yeah...ten years go by and here I am attending college again. It feels like I haven't missed a beat. It feels good 'cause now, I'm a bit more grounded in life, a little wiser and now have much more direction. Today was the first day of my freshman year. There's at least a four year journey for me to the finish line, but I can confidently say in which direction I am running.

Funny thing happened this morning, first day of class.

As the professor was taking role, he called out a name that I immediately recognized. The name belonged to a guy that was sitting behind me. I didn't notice this individual when I arrived at the beginning of class, so I was quite amused when I heard his name called.

It seems that this particular gentleman and I had met approximately a year ago for coffee...with the intentions of finding out about each others' gay selves. Yup Yup...this was the guy I met at Starbucks because a mutual friend of ours wanted to set us up on a blind-hook-up date. Fortunately, all we did was talk and drink coffee.

So yeah...when Professor Dooselberry called out MR. X's name, my mouth dropped...and not for the reason that your thinking...but just out of shear amazement!!! Can you say...Awkward???!!!

I think I'll make him my study partner.

Here's to a fantastic-orgasmical school year...I'm predicting good things for everyone involved.

Too Much Information For Me

"Sick Sick Sick"!!!

That's the theme for this family right now. BrokeBack...not because of "The Hot" reason...constant vomitting, high fever, runny noses, sore throats. Those have been the symtoms here. A "Not-So-Good" status.

If anyone were wanting to come over and visit, there would be a huge sign painted...black with a skull and crossbones, warning them of the dangerous germs and possible contagion that they would be inviting into their lives.

Why is it that this time of year always invites unhealthy conditions, even with all the fresh fruits and vegetable and vitamins that we shove down our throats, the acid and infections seem to take control and throw all of that good stuff right back up and at such a violent rate!!!

This was the case with Grace last night. Now, please keep in mind that she was already sick and vomitting on New Years Eve...and what a way to ring in the New Year. This continued into the early morning and throughout the day. "It has to run it's course", I told her when she asked me, "how long am I going to feel like this"???

With a bottle of Ematrol...for the nausea...and lots of Gatorade...for the replenishing of valuable hydration...and rolls and rolls of toilet paper...for the blowing of the clogged nose...finally the nastiness was gone...for three days that is. Yes Yes I know...you say something like "Oh My God"!!! I know, me too..."OH MY GOD!!! Grace what's going on in that teeny tiny belly of yours"???

This time she didn't even make it to the bathroom. The carpet and parquet floor received a new and exciting form of decoration!!! Huge THANKS to Nick who cleaned up the HUGE mess without gripe or complaint, while I tried to hold Grace's hair from getting involved in all the spraying of nastiness...alas though my attempts failed and the hair became contaminated. I pretty much just stood around and offered her comfort since I couldn't bend over and help her out because of my ailing back.

After everyone was finally cleaned up and settled down I went to the kitchen and got our infamous BARF BOWL that we use to put by one of the family members while they are sick throughout the night and can't quite make it to the bathroom. You know, to avoid cleaning up stinky nasty messes that never seem to go away and always leave some kind of odd smell to the room.

This BARF BOWL holds many special memories for me. This was the bowl that my mom used when I was a child. I remember the first time that I used the bowl...I was probably 7 years old and had a homemade stew for dinner that night. Well during the night as my stomach rumbled and tumbled, my mom brought in this HUGE bowl to put right beside me. That I might use it instead of making a big mess. I remember the bowl being so big, cause it seemed to swallow my head as I was spewing all of my unchewed chunks into it's belly!!!

Ah yes...this bowl has kept so many of us company throughout our nights of fits and covulsions...dad, mom, my brothers, Amanda-Jayne, Grace, Boogie, myself. It's been a constant companion through the years and continues to weather all that regurgitated goo. It's a strong, sturdy, trust-worthy friend to help weather those rough nites.

A wonderful heirloom!!!

Between 6th and Broadway

Jao and I talked briefly about our trip up to Manhattan. YAY!!!

We are making plans to go up for at least three days and two nights...maybe four days and three nights. Everything is still all up in the air right now...but we wanted to start making a few plans and getting some ideas together. He's already been there, so he can be my tour guide.

Here's a few of the attractions that we want to see and do:
Central Park...maybe even find Central Perk
Ground Zero
Times Square
Broadway
Soho
Chelsea
Statue of Liberty
Trump Tower
Subway Rides
Downtown Shopping
Rocco Dispirito...he's SO hottt!!!

I'm going to have to start my research on this city...it's been a dream of mine to go and soak it all up. I'm SO excited. This will be my first of many trips for 2006.
